Maria Nogueira Nössing (Studio Maria Walnut) is a Portuguese illustrator and designer living in Berlin. Her work stems from a lifelong fascination with images that tell stories, from visual identities and printed matter to picture books and paintings.

With over a decade of experience developing visual worlds for international clients, she continues to focus on projects that merge imagination, play, and the quiet poetry of everyday life.

As a children’s book author and illustrator, her books have been published in Portugal with Planeta Tangerina and internationally, and have been selected for the Bologna Children’s Book Fair and dPICTUS 100 Outstanding Picturebooks.
